Frank D. Ortwine
Frank D. Ortwine is President and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank. Mr. Ortwine has over 50 years banking experience in various capacities. From 1991 to 2002, he was the President and Chairman of the Board of American Home Loan Corp, a bank holding company and mortgage company warehousing lender which he formed. From 1995 to 2002 Mr. Ortwine was also the President and Chairman of the Board of Commercial Pacific Bank in Santa Cruz, California and from 1998 to 2002 he was the President and Chairman of the Board of BankUSA in Phoenix, Arizona. From 1984 to 1991 Mr. Ortwine was the President of American Bantrust Mortgage Co. From 1975 to 1981 he was the President and Chairman of the Board of Surety Savings Bank, and grew the bank’s assets from $8 to $500 million during his tenure. After a merger, Surety Savings Bank was operated under the name Century Bank, and was sold three years later. From 1965 to 1974 Mr. Ortwine was the President and Chairman of the Board of Southwest Savings and Loan, and from 1964 to 1965 he was the President and Co-Owner of American Factors, Inc. Mr. Ortwine started his career in banking at First Federal Savings in Phoenix, Arizona where he served as Manager of the Systems and Procedures Division, Branch Manager and Operations Manager, and ultimately the Manager of the Installment Division.
Mr. Ortwine has significant experience in the formation and acquisition of banks and was instrumental in improving the performance of the banks he has been involved with throughout his career. Mr. Ortwine has a Bachelor of Science in Management from Arizona State University.
