Wendell E. Jones
Wendell E. Jones is a Director of the Bank. He is a licensed CPA in both Arizona and California and has over 35 years experience in the accounting profession. Mr. Jones is a member of both the American Institute of CPAs and the Arizona Society of CPAs, where he has served in several capacities. After graduation from college, Mr. Jones joined the national CPA firm of Arthur Andersen & Co. and worked in both the auditing and small business departments of its L.A. and Phoenix offices. For the past 32 years he has been associated with the accounting firm of Henry & Horne, L.L.P., where he has been a partner for 29 years, has served as the managing partner of the firm for 4 years and presently serves as the partner-in-charge of the firm’s Tempe, Arizona office, which houses approximately 60 personnel. The firm specializes in tax, accounting, auditing, consulting and business valuation and litigation services to a wide range of closely held family, governmental and not-for-profit businesses and high net worth individuals. In addition to his management responsibilities, Mr. Jones works with numerous clientele in the auto dealership, construction, real estate and agricultural industries.
Mr. Jones presently serves on the executive committee of the Mesa United Way and is a member of its Board of Directors. He is past president and remains active in the Mesa Baseline Rotary Club, and is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Mesa Art Center Foundation and of Families Helping Families, Inc. In addition, he serves in several committee and Board positions of other professional and community organizations including the audit advisory committee of Mesa Public Schools. Mr. Jones graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.
